The annual Winter Finch Forecast (yes, that’s a real thing) has just be released. Due to a lack of natural food in Canada this fall, many northern finches such as Evening Grosbeaks, Pine Grosbeaks, Common Redpolls and Red Crossbills will be heading south in search of food this winter. So, keep an eye on your feeders and you might see some hungry Canadians. And, if you need some birdseed, I think I know where you can get some.
The eclipse equals wicked cute…
While looking for birds in Dripping Springs, Texas (yes, that’s a real place), Kyle and his daughter took a break from bird watching to check out the eclipse. (Cutest eclipse photo ever.) I love the shirt, but I wish I had a bite of that cookie.
