A special visitor is coming…

This time of year most retail shops have a surprise visit from Santa, but not us. We are getting a surprise visit from an Eastern Screech-owl. This Saturday, Nov. 29th, Amy (the one in red) and one of Wild Care’s Eastern Screech-owls will be stopping by the Bird Watcher’s General Store in support of Small Business Saturday. Wild Care will have a table of gifts to sell and Executive Director Stephanie will be on hand to answer any of your wildlife questions (while the owl poses for photos). Wild Care will be here from 10:00-12:00, but the owl will only be here from 10:00-11:00, as it hates working during the day.

An Exciting Rare Visitor….

On second thought….

Sorry kids, we tried to open today, New Year's Day, but the snow squalls have forced us to pack up and head home. Hopefully we will see you tomorrow. Bring a shovel.

Meg is with the Giants…

While on a birding trip in Ireland, Meg stopped at the famed Giant's Causeway to show off her handsome BWGS shirt. There’s no word if the giants were impressed with Meg’s shirt, but she is clearly giving the Causeway a big thumbs-up (either that or she is hitchhiking...

Check out this cake…..

Molly, a summer Cape visitor from Norway, recently had a birthday party, which featured her very own Bird Watcher’s General Store chocolate cake. How about that? Even we have never had one of those. I asked Molly if she would send us a slice, but she thought it...
