For whatever reason, my yard never gets Eastern Bluebirds. (I think they hate me.) However, each year I have a family of Great-crested Flycatchers in one of my nest boxes. Great-crested Flycatchers readily come to appropriately made birdhouses. Strangely, many folks don’t even notice this common summer bird. That’s probably because they are too obsessed with bluebirds to notice anything else. I don’t have that problem.
