We all know Cedar Pond. It’s the pond in Orleans along Rt. 6, just west of the big rotary (the pond that used to have hundreds of cormorants sitting on the power lines). For the last few years Ospreys have nested nearby, but recently these two bald squatters have taken over the nest. The nest is visible from Rt. 6, so the next time you are driving that way, check it out. (Just remember to keep at least one eye on the road. That’s kind of important, too.)
The eclipse equals wicked cute…
While looking for birds in Dripping Springs, Texas (yes, that’s a real place), Kyle and his daughter took a break from bird watching to check out the eclipse. (Cutest eclipse photo ever.) I love the shirt, but I wish I had a bite of that cookie.
